The Literature Board of the Australia Council has announced a new one-off grant for established writers and picture book/graphic novel illustrators. The $40,000 ‘Breaking new ground' grant will support the writing of an ‘important work' that ‘breaks new literary ground for the writer.'
Applications will be accepted in the genres of fiction, literary nonfiction, poetry, performance writing, and children's and young adult literature.
