Plans are underway to commemorate the late politician, author and Melbourne Writers' Festival Chairman John Button with a writing prize.
To be established in collaboration with the Australian Book Review, the John Button Literary Award will ‘be for writing concerning politics, public issues or public policy.' Further details will be revealed in the coming months.
Funding ‘will be requested and encouraged.' For more information, go to the John Button Prize website.
