The Running Man (Scholastic) is in the running for another prize.
Brisbane author Michael Gerard Bauer's 2004 YA novel has been nominated for the Katholischer Kinder-und Jugendbuchpreis, one of Germany's most prestigious awards for children's literature.
The story of 14-year-old artist Joseph and his quest to make sense of his portrait sitter, The Running Man was the Children's Book Council of Australia Book of the Year for Older Readers in 2005.
