It's always nice to see a local favourite finish up first on the Most Mentioned chart. Helen Garner's new novel The Spare Room seemed to be peppered throughout the media this week - and with seven mentions in total, it's no surprise. The book is about two women, Nicola comes to visit Helen in Melbourne for three weeks to receive alternative treatment for her stage-four cancer. Helen then takes on the role of carer and an extreme dynamic forms between the two: one of compassion and rage.
